Something that George and I were discussing just this past friday (5/13/2011).
Kari loves putting this on Hero (one of our cats), and it really looks cute (on the cat). Sorry I don’t have a picture with it on the cat. Anyhow, this seemed to be an appropriate message for the relaunch of our family blog.
I have upgraded the WordPress installation (that was not easy), changed the look/feel, and will be updating this blog more often. Stay tuned!

Kari was so thrilled to get this wonderful "Hero Fortress" for her soon to be acquired kitty appropriately named "Hero." We decided to give it to her early, because it came so fast from a seller on EBay. Thank you Grammy for the wonderful birthday gift. We thought you would like to see how the girls reacted to your gift. Unfortunately, we didn’t have any real kittens to try it out on, yet! But, Kari has plenty of stuffed animal stand-ins :)!

Yesterday, we finally closed on our new home in Mebane, NC. This post has been written for local folks at our church (Calvary Chapel in Chapel Hill, NC) who would like to help us move. Directions, dates, and contact data is all contained in a package that will be available at church on Sunday, June 25, 2006. We plan on moving on Tuesday, June 27, 2006 and Wednesday, June 28, 2006.

It’s my youngest daughter’s fourth birthday today. Her name is Kariann, but everyone calls her Kari. It’s amazing that we even got this footage tonight because 45 minutes earlier, Kari was running a 103 degree fever. She was very lethargic and cranky and it did not look like she would be in the mood to sing happy birthday tonight. But, we gave her some Motrin for kids and it took the fever down pretty quick.

I read a very inspirational devotional today that applies very well to our family, especially Lucy and I. We consider ourselves "diamonds in rough" of sort for various reasons. And when we say "diamonds" we are not talking about our view of ourselves, but the view of God for us. Furthermore, when we say "rough" we are talking about our perception by society in general.
